Let the Men Cook ... Gourmet cooking classes for men. Menus are tailored to suit the tastes and dietary requirements of participants. Over two nights the men will create a restaurant-quality 3 course dinner. Their partners are invited in to join the men for dinner on the final night for a fine-dining experience. We haven’t forgotten the ladies... Gourmet and themed-cooking classes with subjects such as Cooking with Seafood, Vegetarian Delights and Desserts to Die For. Bay and Basin men made up the very first “Let The Men Cook” cooking
class taught by chef, Glenn Hair from Passion Catering. Don McRae, Gary
Clark, John Hatton and John and Adam Symonds came in on Friday evening
to begin preparations for the three-course gourmet extravaganza they
were to serve up to their partners the following evening.
Apprehension
soon disappeared as the men donned aprons and began their first
challenge - de-boning a spatchcock. By the end of the night the pie
pastry had been made and rolled in preparation for blind-baking,
spatchcocks were stuffed with the slow-roasted cherry tomatoes and the
stock was made in preparat Excitement built for the second and final afternoon. 5 men in the kitchen worked together to create a candlelit, three-course restaurant-quality meal for themselves and their partners. The ladies were very impressed as the men served one delicious course after another. The men could not suppress the smiles on their faces and the women clearly enjoyed the attention; feeling very pampered and appreciated.
